We are delighted to announce that bookings for the Doug Moo Hebrews Conference are now open. Dr Moo is one of the foremost evangelical scholars in the world today, so we are amazingly blessed to be able to host an event with him. You can see a (very) abbreviated bio of Dr Moo on the brochure, which is attached to this email.
Dr Moo is currently writing a commentary on Hebrews. This remarkable book of the New Testament magnifies Jesus, the Son of God, who is fully human and fully divine, our great High Priest, and the mediator of the New Covenant made in His own blood. The author of Hebrews wants to encourage believers who are faltering spiritually to endure in the Faith, knowing that such endurance has great reward.
The conference will run from the evening of 21st July to the afternoon of 25th July. The evening sessions will give a “big-picture” overview of the book in 4 sessions, and run from 7pm – 9pm on 21st to 24thJuly (Tuesday through Friday evenings). Evening sessions are open to all, and there is no charge to attend, but please RSVP for planning purposes.
The day sessions will provide a rigorous, verse-by-verse study of the book, and run from 9:30 am -3:30 pm from 22nd to 25th July (Wednesday to Saturday). The day conference costs R500, which includes lunch each day, but we are offering a discount rate (half price) for Bible College and Seminary students. Places for the full day conference are more limited because of the venue size, and will be confirmed once we receive both your RSVP and payment confirmation (send toTruthwalk.SA@gmail.com).

The Gospel is the most precious message, we have to share.
There is now a new 2 page gospel presentation called: There is no escape from God, under resources. This is a small tool that anyone can print out back to back. When you fold it, staple and cut it, you get a 14 page transferable concept on the gospel.
Please try it and use it
This Sunday we commissioned and prayed for Sammy and Itu Leballo as we send them out to assist in strengthening Moletsane Baptist. The Lord has been gracious in giving us the opportunity to send Sammy as a full-time pastor at Moletsane Baptist Church in Soweto.
Moletsane Baptist has been without a permanent pastor for the past 4 years. During a bad storm, the roof of their building was blown away. The Baptist Union helped with the installation of a new roof, and while they were there – noticed that Moletsane was in need of good teaching and a permanent pastor. This video on YouTube has a good summary of the story.
We give thanks to the Lord for how he has used people and circumstances to provide the opportunity for Midrand Chapel to strengthen Moletsane Baptist, and cause His name to be made know among that community. Please pray for Sammy and Itu, that the Lord would give them wisdom and strength as they shepherd the flock there.
